Celiacs NEED to follow a gluten free diet to survive no other medication is needed. And since gluten is in everything they needed to develop their own lines of food to meet the growning need. My mom started her own line of bake goods since the ones available were very expensive and not very good. They now report one in less then 100 have developed celiac. It is gene related. However, they have found that chldren who suffer from ADD, ADHD, and Autism all benifit from a gluten free diet (even though they do not have celiac). In our family we try and avoid the "heavy" glutens - ie pizza and pasta - except for maybe once a week. We like how we feel without them. If anyone has any questions they can contact me. Also, today is the last day at Saubels to recieve 20% off all natural and organic items. My mom will be there sampling her gluten free items this afternoon. thanks Cara for raising awareness!!
